  • Type of Anesthesia

    1-2 weeks
Follow Up Process
One week after surgery, patient needs to come back and remove the stitches.

Procedure

  • Nipple correction surgery corrects problems associated with enlarged, asymmetrical, protruding or inverted nipples and can be seen in both men and women.

  • The nipple is made of two parts: the nipple and the areola. The nipple is the projected part and the areola is the dark pigmented skin that surrounds the nipple.
  • Inverted nipples is the most common nipple correction surgery. Inverted nipples are the result of an imbalance in muscle traction, where the strength of the outward muscle is weaker than the inward, which can be longer or have a stronger pull, causing the nipple to remain retracted.

Preoperative
  • Avoid spicy food, seafood, fermented food.
  • Stop smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages two weeks before and after surgery for healing the wound faster.
  • Avoid NSAIDs and blood thinning medication such as aspirin for 10 days prior to surgery to eliminate the chance of post operation bleeding.
  • Notify any medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc. including any usage of a drug or dietary supplements.
Recovery
  • Apply cold compress around the incision area.
  • Clean the incision by saline and apply antiseptic twice a day.
  • Should wear a bra without underwire in first month after surgery to prevent the breast to protract and be out of shape.
  • May have swelling and pain around the breast but it will get better. Any other side effect, please consult a doctor.
