In preparation for the surgery, you are going to be required to:
Stop smoking and drinking alcohol
Stop taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, hormonal pills, and herbal supplements since they can increase bleeding at least 1-2 weeks.
Stop drinking water at least 6-8 hours before the procedure.
People with diseases need surgical clearance from their medical specialist.
Recovery
The swelling usually diminishes from the third day on, and social activities can be restarted after about one week, sometimes with the help of some make-up.
