Procedure
Fat Transfer, also known as fat grafting, is a procedure that enhances a person’s appearance by taking fat from a specific part of the body such as abdomen, thighs, etc. and using it to add volume and improve wrinkles and fine lines for facial rejuvenation to the desired areas such as, breasts, lips, under eyes, smile lines, etc.
Preoperative
Before Surgery
In preparation for the surgery, you are going to be required to:
Stop smoking and drinking alcohol
Stop taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, hormonal pills, and herbal supplements since they can increase bleeding at least 1-2 weeks.
Stop drinking water at least 6-8 hours before the procedure.
People with diseases need surgical clearance from their medical specialist.
Recovery
The swelling usually diminishes from the third day on, and social activities can be restarted after about one week, sometimes with the help of some make-up.
