Suture method is suitable for patient age lower than 35 with thin, less fat on their eyelid and whose eyes are not drooping. First, the surgery will be performed under local anesthesia. Once the patient becomes numb, the surgeon will start to drill 3 small holes using laser cutter and stitch by locking the inner eye tissue using a special stitch which is very small equivalent to human hair. Using laser cutter will obtain a sharp fold, less bleeding, the wound will heal faster than the incision method and less swelling. In some cases, when the patient has some excessive fat on their eyelid, our surgeon has his own technique to remove these fat without creating any cut. This fat removal our unique technique which only offers at Lelux Hospital.
Preoperative
Stop smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages two weeks before and after surgery for healing the wound faster.
Abstain from aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E and supplements two weeks before surgery to prevent the severe bleeding.
Notify any medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc. including any usage of a drug or dietary supplements.
Recovery
Apply cold compress 5 times a day, 15 minutes each time in the first 3 days after surgery.
The swelling will be on day 1 to day 4 and will be gradually improved every day.
Keep the wound dry for 2 days, the normal facial wash can be done afterward
Using a soft cloth to clean the wound area.
Do not rub the wound.
After cleaning the surface, apply lubricant ointment.
Lie down with the head raised higher than your chest, the swelling will subside faster.
Avoid watching a TV, read a book prolonged for 3 days after surgery.
Taking painkillers medication if you feel any pain.
