Thailand’s medical and wellness services align with the international standard. In 2018 Thailand, 66 medical organizations have passed the JCI accreditation. JCI, short for Joint Commission International, is part of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization, representing the highest standard of patient care and organization management in the healthcare industry. In comparison, Mainland China, which sized about 20 times in area, can list out only 106 JCI accredited organization.
Encouraged by the national policies, with the help of the internationally trained medical teams and the proactive introduction of cutting-edge technologies and medications, Thailand welcomes more than 1 million foreign tourists for medical and wellness treatment annually, including those from developed countries like Australia.
